About us
J.W. Cappelen GmbH has been historically linked to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) since its establishment in 1973. After the political changes in 1989/90 our group was among the first to recognize the opportunities and to establish subsidiaries in this emerging region. Our local representation gives us qualified know-how on the spot and economically efficient access for marketing, sourcing and investing activities for our partners and ourselves.
Our Bulgarian logistics company Paplog was developed to cater to the growing need of local printers for modern and short time delivery schedules. The superior level of services provided by Paplog Bulgaria has resulted in many awards from both Bulgarian and International authorities.
Two production facilities joined the Cappelen Group in 1999/2000. Our steel factory in Slovakia and our saw mill in Romania have developed into well-established, medium sized companies. Both are renowned in their respective areas of activity and export their products to clients in Europe, Africa and Asia.
