J.W. Cappelen Bulgaria specializes in security document management and is one of our three operations in Bulgaria.
Our group has been present in the Bulgarian market for more than 35 years, starting immediately after the opening up of the country in 1990 with an representative office, which later became J.W. Cappelen Bulgaria.
Originally specializing in marketing paper and board, our activities in Bulgaria have expanded successfully into three business divisions:
- J.W.Cappelen Bulgaria: Security document management
- Cappelen BG: Marketing of Paper and board
- PapLog: Logistics
In 1992 we started our operations in Bulgaria with a Security Paper Division, which carried out public projects in the area of security documents. Continuous product knowledge development combined with our project management expertise contributed to our winning the 1998 identity document tender published by the Ministry of Interior. In 2009 we again won the tender for Bulgarian biometric identity documents, residence permits and driving licenses. J.W. Cappelen Bulgaria now has contracts to produce 26 different types of identity documents for Bulgaria.
These identity documents fulfil all criteria and requirements from ICAO, ISO standards as well as EU resolution for identity documents.
J.W. Cappelen Bulgaria is certified according to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
